Nope port 3389 is the Remote Control Port

Port 135 is the Messenger port. It's that messenger service. It's the one where people can send you fake messages through the internet to think MS is tracking you down, i'm sure you've seen the images. Turn on XP's firewall to close it down OR disable the messenger service.

ohh, i got that msg, looked like a netsend but, well..couldnt send net sends to other networks

I have had msm,and bearshare on and grc never detected ports..maybe its cause i don't use a cheap firewall. hehe

Port 135 is the windows RPC port for Remote Procedure Calls, its used by DCOM (Distriubuted Component Object Model) this allows applications to run code on a remote machine as if it was a local COM object, MSN does use it and it can also be a security threat BUT only if you agree to allow a component to register on your machine which then misuses it.
