That's nice, but where's the download?!?! (Dig give Inquirerer big, warm, fuzzy hug!)

Ok, fine. So.. no download link? Now why would Nvidia ask for a review of drivers that the public may never see? Methinks that's a violation of your basic beta-testing NDA... Unless they have a *special* Partial-NDA, also known as the nya-nya-nda.. (look what we got!) Anyway, you got a little something on yer nose mate..

Respect poor product security control? No can do. Most people shelled out some hard earned cash for the nvidia-chipset hardware. Each newer and better driver has proved to be a performance pinata that nvidia's partners carelessly let us take a swing at. Would I take a turn w/the stick? Hell yeah! Maybe I get some of that new Det5 candy, maybe I'm reinstalling windows.. I'll take that chance for more zoom in games. You are correct, they aren't charging for drivers. If they did though, and chose to follow in the footsteps of that unnamable scanner company, I will no longer use and recommend their products. They did well to unify the driver sets and it's in the company's best interest to continue the support and further optimizing of this unified driver. Unlike ahem.. ati.. my nvidia investment has enjoyed a better lifespan through the entire windows family upgrades. I still use riva128's and tnt cards. They have a good reputation and while the odd poor-performing drivers simetimes leak, I and many others will always risk a try of anything they put out. Remember also, not all leaks are accidents. Scuse the beer-clouded logic, just closed on a new house today. I'm finally getting the hell out of Maryland!

Yeah, z-man's site used to be a regular read for me, but when the bios files dried up and he's playing catchup in the news dept all the time I've looked elsewhere. Reactor used to be hot, but so much peek a boo w/their site I gave up trying to follow that one too. Anyway, in all my travels, I've watched common sense get trounced soundly time and again.. Waiting for some slipup with the UT Performance Test now.. That 3dmark has become waaaay to boring and Quake3 was banned from my box for looking to cartoonish when it came out... But then again, it could be worse.. I could be in Germany..

I wanted to see the driver too, but digging a little it seems Nvidia sent them to the Inquirer site for the sole purpose of trying to get them to shut up about the problem in previous drivers... heh. Not for passing around, just press damage control. I should have done this homework earlier.. d'oh!
