Well, You need windows, um sorta true sorta not... you can install xp from DOS.... just enabled SMARTDRV and in the i386 folder run WINNT32.exe this will start installation. it works better with the disk set its much faster and even easier if you can boot to cd rom.

i think it is just winnt.exe, not winnt32.exe. maybe both works. this was the same for win2k and winn40

lol starting winnt may help if you want install under dos ;P
