Guru 3D sends word they had to update the Catalyst 3.8 script pack! Due to the following reasons:

SoftR9x00 script for w2k/xp did't performed R9x00->R9800 mod properly and forced R9700PRO ID instead. The problem is fixed now, so if you use SoftR9x00 for forcing R9800 caps this update is a must for you. If you use R9x00->R9700 mode or you use w9x/ME then there is no need to download this update.

Unwinder just send me the new SoftR9x00 and ATIOverclockingAntiprotection (this patch script allows you to remove driver-level overclocking protection on certain ATI RV250/RV280/R300/RV350 based boards) for the new Catalyst 3.8.

TVTool was developed to replace the poor support video card manufacturers had for TV-Out. TVTool works with most Nvidia based cards.

Most ATI users probably know, that ATI Catalyst drivers restrict overclocking on certain RV250/RV280/R300/RV350 based boards. Due to overclocking protection, the driver simply resets the clock frequencies to their defaults as soon as you start any fullscreen 3D application! Grab the ATI Overclocking Antiprotection script which you can use in combination with rivatuner to unlock your Radeon 9600 and then overclock it as far as it can go.
