Entcity.com Just notised AC has updated his great tweak utility NVmax. There dosen't seem to be any list of bugfixes, but I notised one quite interesting thing when installing it. If you read the license agreement you'll see it has changed a bit. Notise the text in bold:

I'm proud to announce that NVmax 4.0 has hit it's last alpha! In this version there is only one known problem left, and its tiny.

If you used any previous version of NVmax with detonator drivers 12.90 or higher and found clock speeds would not adjust, they will with this version. This is due to enumeration of devicekeys until the real value is found (Windows and NVIDIA sometimes use different keys)

A user has reported the load at startup option may be broken, I will take a look at this. Other than this and the one issue described in Setup it looks like everything is done.

Update from WizeX@Nvmax : I dont know if this was just specific to my system or not but: Anybody wanting to upgrade to this version, make sure you reset your Clock speeds to default before doing so. I just installed this version and it set my overclocked speeds as my default.

This is the first universal bios editor for Radeon-based videocards. This program let you modify clock speeds and BIOS fonts for any videocard based on R100, RV100, RV200, R200 chips. Version 0.95 - was the first public release. Program accepts bios image file as input data and generates correct output bios image file as a result of processing.

The tool helps with the TV ouput of Nvidia graphic cards. The main problem is the black borders around the picture on the TV screen. They are very annoying for most applications like e.G. DVD-playback. This tool helps getting rid of those bars...

"If you experience errors installing NVmax use winrar, winzip or winace to extract the files in the exe package to a directory of your choice. A fix has been found and is being included into ALPHA 2, so wait a couple hours for the new package."
