Twin Titans: Globalwin TAK-68 VS Coolink H2Twin Comparison!

Published by NewsFactory 0

With the onset of the new "quiet" trend in cooling, people are just plain sick of dealing with a screaming heatink/fan combination to properly cool there processors. People would rather sacrifice some cooling today just to have a peaceful workstation. Due to this consumer trend, companies themselves are dropping the "strap a screaming delta onto a finned block of copper" mentality and are running to the designing boards again to try to find another method of effective cooling!

VisionTek XTASY GeForce4 Ti4400 Review @ B3D!

Published by NewsFactory 0

Reverend has wrapped his usual review prowess around a VisionTek XTASY GeForce4 Ti4400 board this time. Along with the usual round of game tests Reverend takes plenty of time looking at the various IQ levels that GeForce4 Ti boards offer.

"Having spent quite a bit of time with the VisionTek XTASY GeForce4 Ti4600 prior to this review of the "lesser brother", I was pleasantly surprised that I did not really miss Ti4600. The VisionTek XTASY GeForce4 Ti4400 offers really enjoyable gaming as long as you learn to live with its obvious limitations (and which card doesn't have limits?)."

Labtec PulseTM-420 Speaker System @ Tweaknews.net!

Published by NewsFactory 0

As most people would say, "Hey, my speakers are just fine!", or, "What's the point?". Well, I myself subscribed to that way of thinking for about seven years, yes, seven! But, with my continuous upgrades, I upgraded finally to a Sound Blaster Audigy Sound Card. At the time of purchase and installation, I wasn't all that impressed with the sound quality difference. As any consumer upgrading to a $150 soundcard, you would think that there would be a significant difference in audio quality. Well there was in fact a difference. The only problem is that I had an inferior speaker system to convey the clearer, and crisper audio quality of the Audigy(r) to my ear drums. Labtec(r) was kind enough to send me a sample of there new model of speaker system called the PulseTM-420 to take advantage of this quality sound card and show me what it can really do.

eVGA GF4 Ti4600 Review @ Rage Underground!

Published by NewsFactory 0

Just got word from Torosian that he's post his eVGA GF4 Ti4600 Review but this is the one using Nvidia's reference cooling, not the ACS2-cooled one! Here's what he's saying.

This review will deal with a Ti4600 and how it compares to a card two generations behind it, the GeForce2 GTS. People always say to wait two generations before buying a new card anyway. Remember throughout the article that a GF2 GTS performs very closely to a Radeon DDR (32mb and 64mb).

Samsung Syncmaster 151B 15 Inch TFT Monitor Review!

Published by [NT] 0

TweakNews have written a review about the Samsung Syncmaster 151B 15 Inch TFT Monitor. Here's a snip: "Have you had the chance to try an LCD yet? Have you actually ever seen one? Have you ever viewed photos on a LCD? If you have answered yes to any of those questions, you will know just how comfortable these monitors are to use. No eyestrain, lower power bills, more workspace, sharper colours, I just can't see why anyone would WANT a normal monitor." Read the review

Stomp Inc's Recordnow Max 4.0 Burning Rom Suite Review!

Published by NewsFactory 0

Well, needless to say, I was really impressed with Stomp Inc's first real step into the CD Burning ROM software market. The product proved to be quick, efficient, easy to use and install, and had some nice bundled features. If anyone out there is looking for a great, more affordable burning suite than some of the big boys out there, then give this one a try. I haven't even reinstalled Nero(r) due to the fact that I just like this suite TOO much and you will to.

Vantec Stealth Fans Reviewed!

Published by NewsFactory 0

Just got word from Tim that he has completed a review of the new Vantec stealth fans. Are they really as quiet as they claim? Here's what he's saying.

Today we will be looking at the Stealth fan series from Vantec. Which are designed to be 80% quieter that standard case fans. I know I sometimes get tired of listening to the noise of my fans. Well, the Vantec fans will hopefully solve that problem. These fans include a 3-pin to 4-pin adapter and a set of 4 screws.

They are also giving all three of the fans away! Read the end of the review, to find out how to enter.

Epox 8K3A+ Motherboard Review!

Just got word that Martin has posted his Epox 8K3A+ motherboard review. Here's a byte from his review:

Epox has been catering towards the more extreme overclocking crowd for a while now. I've been voltage modding boards for a while now and Epox has been taking the fun out of things lately by offering the kinds of voltages that would normally require a resistor being soldered onto a small IC chip.

Triplex Millennium Silver GF4 Ti4600 Review!

Published by NewsFactory 0

VR-Zone has done up a review on the Triplex Millennium Silver GeForce4 Ti4600 card.

This card comes with a sleek looking silver metallic briefcase and equipped with features such as 128MB of 2.8ns Samsung DDR SDRAM, TV-Out and DVI-Out. The GPU cooler and ramsinks are coated with a layer of shiny silver to make the card even more appealing. This card will definitely go well with a silver or black PCB board such as the SOYO KT333 DRAGON Ultra in a window modded aluminum case. All these do come with a price but some consumers will be willing to pay any amount just for the looks. We have checked out its overclockability and performance against the GeForce3 Ti500.
