Everglide Gamerzstuff Destrukt Megamat

Published by [NT] 0

Everglide is a name gamers will all remember from a time when there was hardly any specialty mousepads on the market. You could say they were the pioneers of the MousePad industry carving a path for all others to follow. The very first gamers Mousepad I ever bought was the Quake 3 branded Everglide Giganta. During the past year Everglide seemed to go into hibernation and there products were eclipsed by companies like Ratpadz and X-Trac (Still our favorite pad BTW), so it was with great surprise a large envelope landed on my desk a couple of weeks ago with samples of some of Everglides new products. Today we are going to take a look at the Destrukt Megamat, the Xtreme Megamat and the USB powered illuminated Giganta RAY, lets take a look shall we.

Scythe Kamakaze Intel/AMD Performance CPU Cooler @ TweakNews

Published by Newsfactory 0

Scythe has created a powerful, yet quiet CPU cooler. I kept it installed on the Albatron PX875P Pro while I was working on that review, pushed that board hard, and was happy to see that the CPU temperatures were well-controlled. I just kept the Kamakaze on high, and despite the fact that this testbed was in my open Lubic case, I never felt that the noise was a nuisance. If anything, I would occasionally forget it was on high and reach over to the speed control thinking I'd forgotten to crank it up (as I sometimes did with my Thermaltake Volcano 12)

OCZ 4400 DDR Memory Kit @ DriverHeaven

Published by Newsfactory 0

In the past we have reviewed several OCZ kits - OCZ4200 and OCZ3500LE and they never fail to deliver the goods. OCZ have given us some of the fastest memory in each respective class - with fantastic performance from 2CAS DDR3200/3500 kits up to 2.5 CAS rated 4000 and 4200 modules. Most DDR manufacturers are putting a lot of their resources into the development of DDRII which is the logical successor to DDR over 550mhz.

The modules on this specific kit are Hynix HY5DU56822CT-D5, (5ns) DRAM which are about as good as you can get. Can these sticks be pushed much further than 550mhz? I have seen people on overclocking forums pumping 3.3volts into them and hitting 290-300fsb (580-600mhz)

Chenbro PC61319 ATX Case @ Gamingin3D

Published by Newsfactory 0

It's a miracle! This case looks half-way normal! And it's actually visually appealing! I dunno... some designs I see at computer shows look they came out of some Fisher-Price nightmare... and luckily this isn't one of them. I think a glut of external shots are in order.

AMD Athlon 64 2800+ Processor

Published by Newsfactory 0

Just got word that Ryan Shrout over at PC Perspective has thrown up their review of AMD's Athlon 64 2800+ Processor! Here's a snip.

When AMD released the Athlon 64 3000+ processor, it was the first time that I can remember AMD not largely publicizing processor release. The Athlon 64 3000+ offered a good value to the consumer, but also was the beginning of the end for the initial generation of Athlon 64 processors.

Chaintech Apogee AA5700U FX5700 Ultra DDR2 Review @ TweakNews

Published by Newsfactory 0

The AA5700U has impressed me from the initial glance to the final repackaging back into its product box. It looks great, is very well built, has great looking and performing cooling solution and overclocks like a Teddy Ruxpin on a car battery. You just can't get a better package. Plus we haven't even mentioned the crazy amount of bundled software or the included cables.

ATI Radeon 9800XT Video Card Review at 3DXtreme

Published by Newsfactory 0

Currently the ATI Radeon 9800XT is the video card hardcore gamers should have. Without a doubt this card is the best of the best right now. There were some spots where the 5950 may have benchmarked higher, however when it came to real game play the ATI Radeon 9800XT was always smoother and the frame rates didn?t show the drops the 5950 did.
