Corsair COOL water cooling kit review

Published by Newsfactory 1

Corsair first dipped their toes into the reflective pools of water cooling back in 2003. Their product, aptly named Hydrocool was a self-contained "black box" which housed a pump, radiator/fan, reservoir, and electronics, including LED temp display. Corsair has recently returned to the CADCAM drawing board. This time they've eschewed the external box design, opting instead for an integrated system. Their new system given the moniker COOL is a partially pre-assembled affair and should provide the entry-level user, as well as those more familiar with H20 systems, a cooling alternative superior to air. SilverStone Temjin TJ06 Case Review at 3DXtreme

Published by Newsfactory 0

Once again, I have to say that Silverstone has made a quality case. Based on a very solid chassis and built of strong steel with aluminum front bezel, this is one of the stronger cases you will find on the market. Aside from the issues we encountered and mentioned previously this case is still a great case for any build. There is tons of space for some of the biggest motherboards on the market. The drives are situated so that there is also plenty of space for lots of them. Even without the wind tunnel this case still provides good cooling for the system and plenty of airflow. This is definitely a recommended case for any system builder today.

Club 3D GeForce 6800GT

3DVelocity get hands-on with a great GPU and a graphics card from a company who are huge in Europe but less well known elsewhere, Club3D.

Club3D are a bit of a rare bird in that its product portfolio includes graphics products not only from NVIDIA, but also from ATi, XGI and S3 too. This may optimise their marketing possibilities but I wondered how it would impact on their relationship with the individual companies. The answer I got from the UK's Gary Jones was a very simple one...."it doesn't!

Athlon 64 4000+ @ Guru3D

Published by Newsfactory 0

Obviously the Athlon 64 4000+ is a little powerhouse. It's not for everyone though, the biggest problem right now is its pricing, which is in the 500-600 EUR/ USD range. That's a lot of money people. If you want the best though well, then nothing much can match this, except the even more expensive FX-55 CPU of course. Now I already stated this in the beginning, we are a hardware site with a strong focus on gamers. So if you ask me what a gamer should buy, at this time and moment it still is an AMD CPU. There's not one consumer Pentium 4 CPU out there that can match the game performance of this AMD CPU. If you are not so much a gamer and more a desktop/office user, you might miss HyperThreading. So as you can see it's not exact math here, both giants have slight advantages and disadvantages. But for a gamer the AMD CPU's still offer more bang for your bucks.
