Enter the newest competitor into the ring, the Otter Inc. Heavy Armor. Made by the same company that brought us the impervious and nearly indestructible OtterBox, the Heavy Armor steps onto the scene to provide protection for your PDA in real-world conditions. While not meant to take the same type of brutal punishment as the original OtterBox line, the Heavy Armor is made to withstand the bumps, drops, and wet conditions found outside of the comfort of sheltered office space.

Envy News Reviews Athlon XP1700+!

Published by [NT] 0

The reason this is not on the latest and greatest is because I have an AMD Athlon XP1700+, and at the time of this review you can now purchase 1800 and 1900 XP's. So in essence I bring you an exclusive of what will become AMD's low end XP. The actual clock speed for the XP1700 is 1.467 Giga Hertz which is 11x133 FSB. Seeing as the only 'Thunderbird' I still have is 1.333 Gigahertz, which can be compared clock wise to the 1500XP, I will have to do a little overclocking.

Envy News Reviews Crucial 128 MB CompactFlash Card!

Published by NewsFactory 0

In recent months, we've reviewed an onslaught of DDR computer memory, CompactFlash cards, and USB Flash drives. One brand that stands out in the high-performance computer memory field is Crucial memory, manufactured by Micron Technology Inc. They produce the highest quality and best performing computer memory on the market, in our humble opinion. It was a logical conclusion that we would need to get our mitts on some Crucial CompactFlash memory to see if Micron dominates in that field as well.

NVIDIA nForce Chipset Review. Part I

Published by [NT] 0

X-Bits posted a review about the new NVIDIA nForce chipset.
Here´s a bit:
The recent activity of the chipset manufacturers is simply surprising. Chipsets are released one after another and, frankly speaking, we have to work really hard to present to our readers all the details about the architecture and performance of the newcomers. Indeed, in the nearest times the competition in the chipset market was primarily held between VIA and Intel, but recently AMD, SiS and VIA joined it having started to manufacture quite competitive products. That seems to be not the end of the story, however. There are completely new players trying to invade the chipset market now. For instance, this spring NVIDIA, always producing only graphics chipsets, announced its first solution for mainboards. Read the rest

Envy News Reviews Alpha PAL8045T!

Published by [NT] 0

As with every other Alpha, it includes an extremely well polished flat copper insert, on a much bigger scale than that located on the 6035. One of the above pictures actually allows us to see the thickness of the insert which is close to 3mm. There are 350 pins on the 8045 compared with 353 on the 6035. The pins on the 8045 are also slightly bigger than those on the 6035. Read More

Envy News Reviews OCZ Dominator!

Published by NewsFactory 0

Cramming an ever-increasing amount of resistors, diodes, and transistors into a shrinking die is known as the art of semiconductor engineering. As these microprocessors tack on an additional 66 or 100 MHz with every upgrade, those tiny electrical parts put out more and more heat. The biggest heat culprit is AMD's K7 Athlon Thunderbird core screaming at 1.4 GHz. You'll need a trusty heatsink and fan (aka HSF) to keep that thing from burning up.

GlobalWin YCC 8870 Review!

Today 3dXtreme looks at the GlobalWin YCC 8870 Case. Here's a blurb: "Now comparing this case next to the favorite Lian Li cases wouldn't be fair because Lian Li cases are catering to people who want really specialized cases and are also more expensive. For the enthusiast who wants a nice looking case with a lot of options to play with you can't go wrong with the GlobalWin YCC 8870. Also as with many other GlobalWin products, quality is always top notch." Read More

Some New Reviews!

Zefania over @ M3dZone told me that he had put some new reviews up.
This review is about a other Elsa card this time it's the Elsa Gladiac 721 GeForce 3 Titanium 200 based graphic card. This is a cheaper card than the Ti500 based card i reviewed earlier today. But the performance of this card is good. But if you want to have the best performance available you must buy a Nvidia Ti500 based card or a ATI Radeon 8500 based card.
Check it out here I have put a review online of the Elsa Gladiac 921 DVI this card is based on the Nvidia Titanium 500 chipset and it has some amazing performance. Elsa has made a great graphic card...
