Microsoft to Miss 90-Day Target

Microsoft has finally admitted that the severe shortage problem has affected the company's early sales goal for its new Xbox 360. As such, Microsoft is now looking to focus on its June sales target instead of its 90-day goal. The Financial Times is reporting today that Microsoft has finally backed away from its initial Xbox 360 sales target of 2.75 million to 3 million consoles.

Microsoft Security Advisory (912840)

Microsoft is investigating new public reports of a vulnerability in Windows. Microsoft is also aware of the public release of detailed exploit code that could be used to exploit this vulnerability. Based on our investigation, this exploit code could allow an attacker to execute arbitrary code on the user's system by hosting a specially crafted Windows Metafile (WMF) image on a malicious Web site. Microsoft is aware that this vulnerability is being actively exploited.

Windows Vista 5270 (December CTP) Uxtheme Patched

This patched Uxtheme is for the build of Vista dubbed 'December CTP' that was released yesterday. As I stated before in other posts, a patched Uxtheme does not enable you to magically port themes over to Vista. The target audience for such patches, at the moment, are theme tool developers, like myself. Due to the way WIMs are composed, I will no longer provide cabinetized/slipstreamable versions of these libraries automatically.
