OverclockersClub posted an review about ABIT's KG7-Raid mobo. They say that The basic idea behind DDR SDRAM is that you take a normal SDRAM module and redesign it to be able to send data on the rising and falling edge of each clock. Instead of running the SDRAM twice as fast, which is an exceedingly difficult task, you enable it to send data twice as fast, a less difficult task, thereby providing about twice the theoretical maximum memory bandwidth.

Digit-Life have got their hands on ATI new RADEON 7500 card.

Here's a bite from their review:

The RADEON 7500 is in fact the RADEON GRAPHICS based only on the 0.15 micro process which allowed lifting its frequency by a great margin. Besides, it features possibilities of a budget RADEON VE (output on two receivers, HydraVision technology etc.). The difference is only in the chip frequency: 290 MHz against earlier estimated 275.

You should remember also that the RADEON 7500 has two integrated RAMDACs (each of 350(!) MHz) and TV-out is implemented similar to the TwinView from NVIDIA (an image can be independently (of the monitor) displayed on a TV screen).

Rage3D spammed John B. Challinor from ATI with some questions regarding the new product line and this is what he haid to say: RADEON 8500 will ship at 275/275 in early October. Now that is making October a month to mark.

Anandtech hits the web with the first 17 pages review of the Nvidia nForce reference board. It's interesting that Nvidia will persue it's unified driver politics by introducing the nForce drivers which have all in one (video, audio, chipset). A bit disappointing are the memory benchmarks cause nForce only delivers 26MB/s more memory bandwidth than the VIA KT266A which is due to FSB limitations af the Athlon. Here's a snip of the final words: The performance of the nForce with an external AGP card is approximately on-par with that of the KT266A. While the KT266A does come out ahead in the majority of benchmarks, its lead is usually limited to 3% or less which is honestly indiscernible to even the most highly trained eyes.
