In addition to demonstrating a unique cooling solution, we wanted to make a bold statement that a Pentium M computer can make a great gaming machine. Why is that important? When you're serious about making your computer quiet, heat becomes a very real issue, and the low heat output of a Pentium M comes in very handy! But how does it perform?

Athlon 64 3000+ EOL'ed, New 3200+ and 3500+ E4 Stepping
For those of you who watch the Athlon 64 market very closely, you may have noticed the sudden dry up of lower clocked E3 Venice CPUs. According to industry insiders, AMD appears to have discontinued shipping the Athlon 64 3000+ to major retailers, although AMD roadmaps predicted this far in advanced. However, sources have now indicated that AMD has also stopped shipping the Athlon 64 E3 Venice 3200+ and 3500+ Socket 939 processors too. Higher clocked Athlon 64 chips, like the 3800+, are in allocation.

NVIDIA 7800GTX 512MB: Scoring 10,000+ in 3DMark05
What exactly is the purpose of releasing a new card when most games perform the same (after a certain threshold) and whatever increase in speed you get is only noticeable in "smart" applications that are designed to measure frames for the sole purpose of crowning the next champion. Does it stop us from producing faster cards? No. Do we wait for the games to catch up with the actual hardware? No. But yet, both NVIDIA and ATI continue to unleash their overpriced beasts to the enthusiast community.

ATi Radeon X1800 XT PE Next Week
Thanks to VR-Zone for the Heads Up!
ATi Radeon X1800 XT PE will be coming next week according to a German site, K-Hardware. This card is clocked higher at 700MHz core and 1600MHz memory to be better positioned against NVIDIA GeForce 7800 GTX 512. It is yet to be determine what kind of memories will be used on the X1800 XT PE so it could probably still be the Samsung 1.26ns GDDR3 or even the faster 1.1ns memories. However, we have no problems hitting 750MHz core and 1700MHz for the X1800 XT card in an overclocking test so it wouldn't be surprise if the X1800 XT PE is essentially a X1800 XT card.

ATi To Unveil Mobility Crossfire
We have heard of SLI for notebooks half a year back with two GeForce 6800Ultra Go on a Dell notebook and we are pretty sure NVIDIA is going do it again for their recently launched 7800 GTX Go. The only problem is that your battery power is going to drain real fast with that setup and is only viable if AC power is connected.
