On the first day of CeBIT we reported on XFX?s TV series titled ?Extreme PC Garage?. If your PC is considered sad enough, XFX would fly you and your machine to LA, tear the guts out of it, fill it back up with bleeding egde hardware and then mod the box until it begs for mercy? At the end of all that, you?ll be presented with an uber-stomping rig and all at XFX?s expense.

CeBIT, the biggest IT exhibit that takes place in Europe every year. Roughly two million visitors and well over 8000 exhibitors are present on that CeBIT. CeBIT is focusing on the professional visitor, rather than the end-user. The majority of exhibitors were IT/Enterprise oriented, and only handfuls in attendance were for the consumer level. Guru3D.com wrote up a 21 page overview loaded with some nice photos, exclusives and their experiences.

XFX 512MB SLi Pictures and Benchmarks

We managed to sneak a quick NFS: Underground 2 manual run through on the 'Scenic Ride' track - which proved quite an interesting experience. Unfortunately, we did not have the ability to force a resolution above 1024x768 on the monitor we used, but we maxxed out the settings - maximum in-game AA was selected, along with 16x Anisotropic Filtering.

CeBIT 2005: Truly Silent Computing from Zalman

Back in August at HEXUS.net we reviewed Zalman's first silent PC, the TNN 500. While very bulky and not exactly pretty, it was indeed silent, posessing only two moving parts - the hard drive and optical drive. At Zalman's CeBIT stand they have a new, smaller version of the TNN on show, the TNN 300. It remains a silent solution, but has had a bit of a makeover and is described as a 'petite' variation of the TNN enclosure. I still wouldn't drop it on my foot though...

CeBIT - Dual 512MB Graphics Cards Spotted

HEXUS.net has managed to take some pictures of two XFX GeForce 6800 Ultra 512MB cards running in SLI. These are reported not to launch until tomorrow, so this is a first look at them in action. The system itself (which has until now had its case panels securely in place) is being showcased at XFX's stand at CeBIT in Hannover, Germany. These cards bring an unprecedented 1GB of video memory to gamers.

Samsung will be showing off a new cell phone which runs on Microsoft's Windows Mobile operating system which features a built-in hard drive. The SGH-I300 will offer 3GB of storage which allows you to store up to 1,000 songs on it for playback through the music player. The 3GB hard drive is similar to the type of hard drive that is found in Apple's Mini iPod. These 1-inch drives with very low power requirements, are ideal for cell phones and other mobile devices. AMD Turion Models and Pricing

AMD has revealed additional details on its Turion 64 mobile processor, but the company's latest press release leaves more lingering questions than it answers. Turion-based laptops from Acer and Fujitsu are expected to arrive in distribution channels and retail before the end of the month, but actual chip specs remain elusive. A new series of model numbers has been introduced to help consumers better understand the Turion line, though.
