Digital Cables vs. Analog Cables -- What's the Difference?
Many of the best video cables on the market today were designed primarily for use in the digital domain; but can a digital cable really perform well as an analog cable? Can an analog cable be used as a digital cable? What's the difference, anyway, between digital and analog cables? They both move electrons, don't they? All of these are interesting questions, and bear some discussion. To begin that discussion, let's first talk about what digital and analog signals are, and how they perform in cables.

Cooling Down Your Video Card
If your system is freezing or resetting when it's using a graphically intensive program (such as gaming), it could be caused by all sorts of issues and heat is one of them. MSX Emulator Comparison - Update
One of the benefits of having a fast personal computer is the possibility to emulate other computer systems and thus run software (like games) that were not intended for your computer system. The first - barely functioning - MSX emulators were created in the early 1990s. As PC's got faster and faster, emulation got better and gained more popularity. Nowadays it is even possible to emulate a Playstation, or even an Xbox, albeit with extremely high hardware requirements and a lot of restrictions. With developments like these, one would think that the emulation of our beloved MSX system would be fairly simple. Unfortunately, it isn't. Especially when it comes to emulating extra hardware - like one or more soundcards - or when the emulated program requires exact timing, most emulators show at least some glitches.
Memory Timing Comparison
Today HWLogic.com has posted an article showing performance of almost every possible memory timing configuration. They test performance in several benchmarks, along with Half Life 2. If you're wondering what all these timings do, be sure to read this one! You can also discuss this article in the HWLogic forums.
AMD Cool?n?Quiet How-To
AMD?s Cool?n?Quiet is a feature that will throttle the CPU?s voltage and multiplier dependant on the current workload. If the system is merely idling, the processor will drop the multiplier to 5x and lower the CPU voltage to 1.1v. Those processors with an OPN that ends in P5AP throttle down to a multiplier setting of 4x and a voltage of 1.3v. This dynamic workload-dependant throttling feature is similar to AMD?s PowerNow! and Intel?s SpeedStep for mobile processors.

OCIA.net has posted an article on Overclocking the Socket 754 AMD Athlon 64! Here's a snip
Once you feel like you have a pretty good understanding of what is going on, the next thing to do is consider your components. In my case, I purchased the motherboard and CPU on a budget and didn't plan to overclock from the beginning, so I will just have to tough it out. But as you will see in the end, a budget system can oftentimes clock higher than more expensive setups.
