Speech Recognition is a feature that allows you to communicate with your bots, and give them orders using your voice (and a mic, of course). However, this feature is not functional by default in the demo version of UT2004. Here's a run-down of what you'll need to do to get it working in the UT2004 demo.

You play Garrett, the master thief, who steals for a living, and kills when he has to. In The City where Garrett resides, crime and corruption are commonplace, wealthy nobles prey on the poor, and magic and machinery coexist uneasily. Attempting to stop the fabric of The City from unraveling are the Keepers, the secret society that trained Garrett in his youth. According to the Keepers, a dark age is approaching, and Garrett's name appears in their prophecies...prominently. The Keepers turn to Garrett in their hour of need, and reluctantly he agrees to enter their secret libraries and work with them once again.

GameSpot reports that while Dreamcatcher recently announced that Painkiller won't be out until April, the public will get its first taste of the otherworldly first-person shooter next week. A playable demo will premiere on GameSpot DLX on February 16 with three single-player maps.

DreamCatcher has released the playable demo of Jack the Ripper, offering an opportunity to try out the recent first-person adventure game by Galilea Multimedia that's based around the story of the notorious murderer. The demo contains a small portion of the full game and includes a walkthrough in case you get stuck along the way.

A new patch for Halo: Combat Evolved is now available, upgrading the sci-fi 3D action game by Gearbox and Bungie to version 1.04. Word is: "The GameSpy Security update addresses a rare crash bug that could occur if a malicious individual (hacker) purposely tries to exploit the GameSpy CDKey SDK." The corresponding v1.04 patch for the Win32 dedicated has also been released.

Unreal Tournament 2004 is the latest and most wanted game on earth, it has great new features and its definetly worth to check! Unreal Tournament 2004 comes with ten game modes, teamplay and singeplayer skills are a must have. New bigger Indoor and outdoor arenas, new cool characters, great vehicles and kickass weapons included!

It's seems that Tenebrae 2.0 Alpha was leaked in Dec 03 but we seem to have missed the Leak but better late than never! Think of the release as a early preview.

The demo contains 5 maps (AS-Convoy, ONS-Torlan, DM-Rankin, CTF-BridgeOfFate, BR-Colossus), 6 game modes (Assault, Onslaught, Deathmatch, Capture The Flag, Team Deathmatch, Bombing Run)

According to IGN the demo for Unreal Tournament 2004 will be released later today. The demo is expected to wiegh in at 290MB. Keep an eye out for it!!!

GameSpy have thrown up their preview of Epic Games fps Unreal Tournament 2004! Here's a snip.

Our day started with Epic lead designer Cliff "CliffyB" Bleszinski and producer Jeff Morris loading up the latest version of UT 2004. As the game starts, we couldn't help notice that the music sounds quite similar to the theme from the original Unreal Tournament. It's no accident -- as Bleszinski explains, UT 2004 is in many ways meant to be a meeting of the old and the new.

The playable demo for Universal Combat is now out, allowing you to try out their new futuristic 3D action game as yet. The demo "contains five scenarios which are based on several game careers - including the brain freeze inducing, slack jawed producing, highly advanced Commander career."

Battle Field 1942 Mod: The Galactic Conquest 0.1E patch which adds compatibility for the Battlefield 1942 1.6 patch, map/kick voting, etc has been completed...Galactic Conquest places you on the ice planet Hoth in an epic battle of survival from Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back. Blaze over the snow in speeders, man the anti-personnel cannons, and ready those blasters for a long battle between the Empire and Rebel forces.

Take-Two Interactive has released the single-player demo of Hidden & Dangerous 2, allowing you to try out last Fall's squad-based tactical shooter by Illusion Softworks. This demo offers a single mission titled "Operation Overlord - Blade Dancer." Additionally, the stand-alone server for the full game is available, which includes the Dedicated Server along with a Server Launcher to control it.

It seems that after HL2, S.T.A.L.K.E.R. and Painkiller were leaked it is now the turn for Far Cry! The leak is of Beta version 2! Not much else is know at the moment as the news was posted on Warp2search Germany, a translation is not needed cause of missing informations.
