February has been busy here at Xbox.com. With several new games, tournaments, sweepstakes, video trailers, and more, we've been living and breathing Xbox. Now we're looking forward to Kung Fu Chaos and revving up for E-3. Here's an overview to get you up to date.

The guy's @ Gta3mta.tk have released an unofficial multiplayer patch for Grand Theft Auto III.

As you have probably already read on your games related site, we're working on a GTA3 Multiplayer Mod, called GTA3: Multi Theft Auto! The first release, v.0.1a is now ready to be downloaded! Please check the downloads section for the file. This version has been tested a couple of times now, but of course there are some bugs in it. Please post any bugs or problems with the program in the forum under the 'problems/bugs' section.

4D Rulers and Slam Software have joined forces to bring you the AMP II Game Design System. They are now offering introductory pricing on the AMP2 game design system. The Amp II Game Design System is co-developed by Slam Software and 4D Rulers. Its successor, Amp, was used to develop the first person shooter Gore. Amp includes a rendering engine, the Wire Multiplayer Net Engine, editing package, and game code support library, all designed for use under Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows NT, Windows 2000 or Windows XP. Note: The only video accellerators cards the demo supports right now is Nvidia GeForce 3 and GeForce 4 Ti. GeForce MX and ATI are not supported in this initial release. The Tenebrae website has been updated with news of Tenebrae 2 and a few screenshot have been posted for this new version!

This will be a "next generation" version of Tenebrae. It will play Quake 3 Arena maps exclusively, no Quake I support anymore and it is a completely stand-alone application.

In this weeks update we're going to talk about some fixes we're working on for the upcoming 1.31 patch. While we don't have a release date for this yet, we do know what we're focusing on. Naturally, with all updates of this nature, none of these are set in stone and could change by the time the patch is released. So without further adieu, here's what we're working on for 1.31.

Gamespy posted their technically focussed preview of ION Storms upcoming sequel to the Deus Ex 1 shooter/RPG mix. They attended a presentation at ION Storm and while system requirements are not yet available it is already clear that you will need at least a GeForce 3 comparable graphics accelerator due to extensive pixel shader and pixel lighting techniques. Here is a snip. Ion Storm started development with the latest Unreal engine, but systematically ripped out and replaced almost every single component. Perhaps the most impressive of these Ion improvisations is the graphics renderer, which can create visuals that in many ways rival those of the much-heralded DOOM III. The single most stunning feature is the lighting engine, which is 100% real-time, dynamic, and whatever other buzzwords you want to apply.

Looks like Electronic Arts just beat another record. Right after the first patch, another update is now available for Command & Conquer Generals, bringing EA Pacific's 3D RTS to v1.02. The update fixes some bugs introduced with the previous patch. Download @ GamersHell

Infogrames has recently released a small patch for Unreal 2: The Awakening. This patch fixes the EAX sound issues.

IGI 2: Covert Strike Single Player Demo Mirror

PC.IGN have posted their 3 page preview of ION Storm's upcoming Unreal engine powered - first person shooter/RPG, Deus Ex 2: Invisible War.

Yesterday I took a trip out to Austin to see the team at ION Storm and check in on the state of DX: Invisible War. The trip could not have been better timed. After a lot of compartmentalized development, the separate pieces of the game have just now come together in playable form. On hand were versions of both the Xbox and PC versions of the game. Although the look of the game is slightly different on the two platforms, they share the same technology and the same content.

A new patch is available bringing the award winning 3D role-playing game by BioWare to version 1.28. This release adds Gnolls, support for multiple Hak Paks, and tons of tweaks and fixes for the game, DM Client, scripts, server, Aurora toolset, Plot wizard and Hak Pak editor. It's accompanied by an updated dedicated Linux server and the full standalone server for Win32 and Linux. Automatic updating is recommended due to smaller file size. Manual download possible.
