IGI 2: Covert Strike Single Player Demo Mirror

PC.IGN have posted their 3 page preview of ION Storm's upcoming Unreal engine powered - first person shooter/RPG, Deus Ex 2: Invisible War.

Yesterday I took a trip out to Austin to see the team at ION Storm and check in on the state of DX: Invisible War. The trip could not have been better timed. After a lot of compartmentalized development, the separate pieces of the game have just now come together in playable form. On hand were versions of both the Xbox and PC versions of the game. Although the look of the game is slightly different on the two platforms, they share the same technology and the same content.

A new patch is available bringing the award winning 3D role-playing game by BioWare to version 1.28. This release adds Gnolls, support for multiple Hak Paks, and tons of tweaks and fixes for the game, DM Client, scripts, server, Aurora toolset, Plot wizard and Hak Pak editor. ID Software and Activision announced today they are canceling the retail release of Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory. Despite a strong effort from talented developers, the single player portion of the game did not progress as anticipated. Canceling the release was a difficult decision made in the best interest of the Wolfenstein franchise and fans.

Howdy, folks. Got my copy of Unreal II yesterday. Since I had some severe performance issues with it I did some surfing and research and came up with some pieces of tweaking information that might be of interest to some of you. Read more for increased performance in Unreal II.

On Thursday last week it was posted on the official Unreal II forums that Legend Enterteinment is currently working with Creative to resolve a notorious crash issue with Unreal II related to the UALAudioSubsystem. Mark Poesch, QA Director at Legend said: "Turning off EAX may help avoid this problem. Alternatively, you may see an improvement by updating your sound drivers. I've been in contact with both Epic and Creative Labs about this problem." Source: INA-Forums

Infogrames has released a playable demo of World of Outlaws: Sprint Cars, allowing you to try out this imminent racing sim by Ratbag. The demo lets you play Knoxville and Lernerville tracks in arcade and multiplayer modes with a choice of two different cars.

Sabotage is an upcoming futuristic first-person shooter in the works at Insane Logics! the newly released playable alpha demo, features level 1 at 80% of completion and level 5 at 50% of completion.
