Unreal Tournament 2003's Beta Test Day!

Published by NewsFactory 0

Just saw this@ UnrealOps.com!

Well I am back from the Great White North and to get everyone caught up to speed with what happened let's start back at the beginning. Recently Unreal Ops was one of 12 websites selected to get a chance to test out UT2003, give feedback and have a Q & A session with the developers. I was very excited to get to meet the rest of the DE guys that I hadn't met on the trip last month. Another thing about the trip was that this time it was an "official" visit and I would be open to ask all kinds of cool questions. I received a ton of information about not only UT2003 but Unreal Championship, Unreal 2 and the Unreal Performance Test!

So I am going to try and balance out all of the information into their respected areas. Before we do that I just wanted to let everyone know that we can finally say, "Yes, there will be an official demo."

Morrowind & Safedisk Issue?!

Published by NewsFactory 0

Just saw this @ G256.com:

I usually NO-CD Crack every game I buy, I haven't done it yet for Morrowind, and saw this thread.(Morrowind's website has been down often and very slow lately)

OMG!!! I can't believe how much difference this makes! The game loads about three times faster now, and loading savegames is at least twice as fast! There's even a FPS improvement of about 10-15%, though I have no rational explaination for this as safedisc shouldn't affect the rendering (NOT placebo effect -- verified with the FPS option turned on)!

CS 1.4 Includes Wall Hacks!

Just got this email from Aron.

Here is another piece of good news! Valve screwed up on this one?

There are built in wall hacks and a zoom script in CS 1.4. All it takes is a simple 2 line config script and you have yourself a working wall hack. The zoom script also serves as a wall hack if used properly.

Game Demos!

Here's some game demos from Gamesdomain.co.uk

Stealth Combat English Version: In 2038, a war rages between the EMA ( Economic and Military Alliance) and the Great Empire. You must choose what side you want to be on, as you are going to undertake 25 infiltration, reconnaissance, and wipe out missions behind the wheel of the most powerful military hardware that the Special Forces possess. Tanks, helicopters, jeeps, amphibious vehicles, etc. Nothing is over the top. However, be careful: whatever situation you are faced with during your missions, never forget which side you are defending.

TOCA Race Driver a.k.a. Pro Race Driver: It?s going to take all your courage, all your skill and all your driving passion to take Ryan from rookie to a world-beating race driver, in this first-of-its-kind cinematic thrill-ride of a game. Power slide around the opposition, face your challenges head-on, cheer the successes and mourn the losses, but above all of these WIN.

Cultures 2: The action is varied and it even provides you with background information about the Middle Ages. Meet historic heroes and legendary scoundrels. Cultures 2 provides different options for reaching your targets, whether you are a diplomat or a warrior. Tacticians and strategies will be delighted by the new military system. Weapons and armors are individually upgradeable; the use of bonus is even more effective. The game has been simplified. Extensions can be added to buildings at different stages. Even a boat trip is possible. Do not forget to visit our Images section for a glance at our first screenshots and detailed pictures.

Unreal Tournament 2003 Demo Leaked?!

Published by NewsFactory 0

As seen on The-Ctrl-Alt-Del.com: I have talked to a couple people on EfNet who continue to rave about how great the demo (beta?) is. Personally, the zip I got crashed my system not even 5 seconds into the game. However, the installer and file dates all seemed to be legit. The zip's filesize was around 150MB. I don't think there is more than one version of the demo floating around, so it looks like some people are having luck with the one that was found. The demo was apparently also not designed for the public, it was supposed to be a corporate version. (?? meaning, for beta testers? Internal? I'm not sure...
