The playable demo for ÜberSoldier has been released, allowing the chance to take the alternate-history World War II first-person shooter by Burut for a tour of duty. This demo contains a single-player mission consisting of three areas that starts outside a prison complex with the objective to free a key resistance leader.

The latest in the series of tactical FPS games, Ghost Recon: Advanced Fighter is coming to Xbox 360 and PC in March. With proven gameplay and next-generation graphics, this is one to look out for.

Codemasters has released the multiplayer demo for ToCA Race Driver 3, renewing the chance to take their imminent multi-disciplined modern racing simulation for a spin. This demo contains three tracks that can be played online using a GameSpy account, but note that if you still have the previous single-player demo installed, this new demo is misconfigured to force its uninstallation.

Eidos has now released the playable demo for Commandos Strike Force, offering the first opportunity to try out the tactical World War II first-person shooter that is nearing completion at Pyro Studios. This demo contains one mission in Norway playable with the Green Beret and Sniper, as well as one mission situated in France that acts as a tutorial for the Spy.

Blizzard has issued another round of minor patches for World of Warcraft, upgrading the US, UK, German and French editions of their popular fantasy MMORPG to version 1.9.4. This update adds a new Guild Recruitment channel and fixes "a bug that could cause players to appear to be porting around in a small area."

Bungie has updated the jobs section on its website revealing that it is currently looking for several people to fill jobs geared towards PC applications. Bungie is currently looking for Graphics, Audio, Network and Game Programmers, all PC related. Knowledge of DirectX9, Xbox SDK, and compatibility issues are required, and it further states "Want to work on the biggest franchises for Microsoft Game Studios?" Ok, it's a little bit far fetched, but who knows.

WorthPlaying

The promised playable demo for TimeShift is now online, offering the first opportunity to try out the imminent time-manipulating futuristic first-person shooter by Saber Interactive. The demo contains one full level "where you must use your timeshifting powers to infiltrate the perimeter of a heavily guarded building to meet an important rebel contact on the top floor." As with another recent Atari demo the InstallShield installer is rather finicky and may throw an error that makes the demo appear to be broken, but if you encounter this problem it can be resolved with the instructions .
