Activision has released the first movie trailer for DOOM 3: Resurrection of Evil, revealing more of the futuristic first-person horror shooter expansion in the works at id Software and Nerve Software. This clip comes in medium and high resolutions to highlight the game's setting, new weapons (including the double-barrelled shotgun) and enemies in a minute and a half of cutscene and action-packed gameplay footage.

Counter-Strike: Source, Source Engine, and Half-Life 2: Deathmatch updates are available and will be applied automatically when Steam is restarted. The changes include:

A single-player demo for Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory is now online, offering the first opportunity to try out this third installment in the stealth action game series by Ubi Soft Montreal. This massive download (originally from the German magazine PC Games) features the Lighthouse mission at Punta Blanco, Peru, and also contains some tutorial videos.
