In advance of the Counter-Strike: Source update we've mentioned here recently, we'll be releasing an update for Half-Life 2: Deathmatch. This update will include two new weapons (the StunStick and the Slam) as well as a return of the trusty crowbar. We've decided to also include a new map called "Steam Lab."

German publisher Pointsoft has released the playable demo of RPM Tuning, offering the first opportunity to take this car tuning and urban racing simulation by Babylon Software for a spin. This English/German demo offers two tracks in QuickRace mode called Beach Race and Downtown Cup 3, as well as two missions in the Adventure campaign mode, both in a choice of three cars.

Electronic Arts and Viacom Consumer Products today announced a videogame based on The Godfather fiction is under development and will put gamers at the center of the action in one of history's most revered masterpieces. The book by Mario Puzo and classic film by Paramount Pictures serve as inspiration for the game as gamers will join the Corleone family and earn respect through loyalty and fear as they rise through the ranks to become Don in a living 1945-1955 New York. The game is scheduled for release in fall 2005 under the EA GAMES brand for the Xbox(R) videogame system from Microsoft, PlayStation(R)2 computer entertainment system, Sony PSP(TM) handheld entertainment system and PC.

A playable demo for Star Wars Republic Commando is now available, offering the first opportunity to try out this sci-fi squad-based first-person shooter that is approaching the finish line at LucasArts. This hefty demo contains one mission titled "The Slavers of Kashyyyk" that consists of multiple section and objectives.
