3D Gamers reports Electronic Arts has issued an updated mod development kit for Battlefield Vietnam, upgrading this toolkit for Digital Illusions' 3D multiplayer action game to version 2.5. This release adds enhancements and fixes to the vehicle editor, .SM file imports and exports, the menu editor, and more.

Doom3 Localisation bug: Switches back to English

It comes out that there's a huge bug in the french (and possibly others) traslated version of doom3. In certain circumstances the game would revert back to english with no way for the end user to go back to the local language without tweaking the config files. X² - The Threat AL Engine Fix

3D Gamers reports that EgoSoft has issued a tiny patch for X² - The Threat, tweaking the Artificial Life Engine in their space combat exploration game. This fix requires version 1.4 of the retail game, and word is: "Some unwanted behaviour for captured ships has been corrected. This is a recommended download for all players."

At last the game we were all wainting for was oficially announced... And just a day after that we see a lot of people benchmarking their PCs with the game. The results we are seeing are far far away from what is a good framerate for a 3D Shooter. On high-end systems equiped with 5900/9800 series videocards with high detail at resolutions of 1024x768 we get around 30-40 frames per second average... and on computers equipped with 6800 series videocard framerates reach around 60-70. Half-Life 2 at G-Phoria

PC.IGN have thrown up their latest Half-Life 2 article in which they get to play Half-Life 2, Valve Software's first person shooter at last Saturday's G-Phoria event.

I found that most of the objects that were placed throughout the depot, such as bottles, crates or other items could be picked up or interacted with, although I had to be careful about carrying or throwing some things around. For instance, I accidentally bounced a bottle off of a table and it careened towards a Combine soldier, who immediately switched on his shock stick.

Guru 3D reports that last week we heard that S.t.a.l.k.e.r. was going to be delayed for many months to come. A lot of critisism was given for that choice. But Today I noticed this post from PixelDude from our forums. He picked up Doom3 today, and to his suprise he saw an empty Stalker DVD containers on the "Coming soon" shelves.
