We've already talked a little about HyperMemory, but hopefully, this article will shed some more light on what exactly it is and how ATI implements it in the latest version of their driver. The addition of HyperMemory to all drivers is essentially an all-around good thing, although it will benefit some more than others. I've gone through and updated my Nvidia Forceware Tweak Guide to account for the changes and new features in the Official 77.77 Forceware drivers. The main changes are on page 6 of the guide, and in particular you should check out the new Triple Buffering setting. WinVista 75.03 LDDM-enabled drivers for Windows Vista (x86) Beta 1

After the release of Windows Vista Beta 1 (codenamed Longhorn) many users of the nVidia GeForce 6x00-series was met with the disappointing news that the only LDDM-certified drivers for nVidia cards support the FX-series, not the later generation. LDDM-certified drivers are necessary to experience the various effects in the new GUI. The Geforce 6x00 drivers that came with Windows Vista Beta 1 was not LDDM-certified, and the various special effects were disabled.
