Catalyst Driver Comparison @ Rage3D.de

ATi releases almost every month a new version of their Catalyst drivers. Often they fix bugs and improve the compability and sometimes they also increase the performance in different applications. In this comparison we don't want to test the improvements in games or bug fixes, but the increases in speed with the newer versions. Beyond that we also tested the modded drivers Omega, DNA, and Evolution.

Terry makedon from ATI has just emailed me with details of Catalyst 4.12. Terry tells us that this is the last Catalyst update for this year. Next year the numbering scheme will kick off with 5.xx (since our numbering scheme is based on calendar notation) with CATALYST 5.1...

Catalyst 4.12 WHQL this Week

Catalyst Maker tells me that the 4.12 drivers, the last set of official WHQL drivers for this year, will be released at some point this week. They'll pretty much be the same as the 4.12 Betas that were released shortly after the 4.11 WHQL release last month.
