These are modified/hacked ATI Catalyst drivers. The drivers have been optimized with two things in mind, better Image Quality and more/stable frames per second when compared to the official Catalyst drivers from ATI!

There are new nForce drivers available, version 6.14, consider this as beta and use at your own risk! Windows XP users must install service pack 1, at a minimum, without you cant use USB2.0. Installation of DirectX 9.0 or higher is required in order to use NVMixer.

Realtek released version 3.65 driver for their ALC AC97 audio chipsets. The driver supports all ALC series audio chipsets from ALC100 up to ALC850 mainly used as onboard sound on various motherboards.

Just got word that Radeonthetop has posted new alternative drivers for Radeon cards. These drivers are based on official Catalyst 4.10. Evolution Drivers are the evolution of the Spirit Drivers, another alternative drivers for Radeon Cards.

Forceware 70.41 Beta

Here's a new set of Forceware Drivers in the shape of 70.41 Beta from Nvidia on their FTP server for Windows 2000/XP! Dated 28 October 2004! This set was released for their Quadro series of cards, I haven't had time to test these drivers so I don't know if this set supports Nvidia's full range of cards or not?

New Volari Reactor 1.06 WHQL Driver

VolariGamers has got their hands on XGI's new Reactor driver version 1.06WHQL.
The driver is dated 28 October 2004 and supports the Volari Duo/V8/V5/V3XT. Supported OS are Windows XP/2000/Me/98SE. The driver improves performance in games like Far Cry and improves HDTV support.

Nvidia have released a new set of Forceware Drivers on their FTP server in the shape of 66.77 WHQL Media Center Edition for Windows 2000/XP! The files are dated October the 15th 2004! The driver is compatible with Nvidia's FX series and Series 6 GPU's GeForce 6200/6600/6800.

OSNN.net after a full week of abuse from teenagers I have succumbed and decided to release the NVIDIA Forceware 70.41 to tide you over until a release that may or may not currently be under WHQL testing.

ForceWare Driver Performance Comparison

Guru of 3D have put several ForceWare series 6 drivers to the test.

Armed with a 3.6 Ghz Pentium 4 rig with GeForce 6800 GT PCI-Express they tested nVIDIA's ForceWare 61.77, 61.82, 62.20, 65.73, 66.29, 66.51 and of course the new 66.81 drivers with titles like SplinterCell, Far Cry, 3DMark05 Unreal Tournament 2004, Halo and of course Doom3.
