Today PNY Technolgies has released a formerly unknown Detonator driver version 43.00 for all Windows Operating Systems (see our news story here. Nvidia did not release a reference driver since December 3rd, 2002. In the meantime Microsoft released DirectX 9 and Futuremark Corp., formerly known as MadOnion, has released 3DMark 03 a hybrid DirectX 8 / 9 benchmark. As version 43.xx marks another major revision step from 42.xx anticipation towards this release is high and being the only currently known download location PNY servers are hit hard and even broadband connected Nvidia fans may not finish their download as fast as they might wish. PNY, Nvidia's Quadro manufacturing partner, has overhauled their website with a new site design which is much more navigatable than the previous version. Although their product portfolio only contains the GeForce FX 5800 Non-Ultra, their support site offers downloadables of Detonator 43.00 for Ultra versions only according to description. Second official soundcard driver update for today. Philips has released new drivers for their Sonic and Dynamic Edge soundcards. The drivers are version 4.03 and come with support for Windows 98SE / ME / 2K and XP. Unfortunately no further information is given about the update. Release date: February 26th, 2003. Download here

Gainward have released a new set of Nvidia Detonator 42.30 drivers that where previously only available through their update service for Windows9x/ME and 2000/XP. Do not forget there's a new version of Gainward's ExperTool out: v3.05.

A new Nvidia WDM driver 1.23 has been posted. This file is required for VIVO and Personal Cinema functionality with Nvidia display adapters.

Just got word that Mydrivers.com have some new Creative Sound Blaster Live / Live! 5.1 & Audigy 2 drivers for Windows 2000/XP, dated February 16th, 2003! These are modded Audigy2 drivers for Audigy and SBLive owners.

Update for those that are having problem loading these drivers! RIV@NVX @ DriverHeaven reminds me that they have a Audigy2 updates hacking and installation procedure guide up that you can use for reference! Please note that you need to be registered to use their forum! Here's a snip.

When I first saw a note about updates for Audigy2, I said to myself: "They will probably work on my Audigy without problems, as Audigy2 CD drivers did." Of course, I downloaded all of them and apps installed fine, but the AUD2DRVL11021217.exe came up with nice error message (that it didn't detect Audigy2). Same thing happened with AUD2DRVL11030205.exe! And I thought - I am going to find out how to do that. And, it is possible. Well, not possible, but obvious, since the .inf file contains EMU10k1 support and Audigy support!

Nvidia have released a new set of Detonator drivers 42.82 for Windows 2000/XP on their Quadro certified Windows XP drivers page. Core driver files are dated January 31st, 2003.

Leadtek have released two sets of Nvidia Detonator Drivers 42.01 | 42.42 WHQL Candidate 2 for Windows 2000/XP! All these drivers were uploaded to Leadtek's server on 18 February 2003.

Realtek released version 3.40 driver for their ALC AC97 audio chipsets. The driver supports all ALC series audio chipsets from ALC100 up to ALC650 mainly used as onboard sound on various mainboards.

Just got word from Zardon @ DriverHeaven.net, that Omegadrive has released a new set of Omega drivers 2.3.92 based on the official ATI Catalyst 3.1 drivers for Windows 9x/ME/2K/XP.

Logitech today released a registry value fix for its Mouseware driver suite, a unified driver for all Logitech mice. Which flaw this registry patch adresses is not known at the time of posting.
