New drivers, labeled Amigamerlin 2.1 for Voodoo 3/4/5 for Win XP 2.1 appeared Tuesday evening on Voodoofiles.com. I noticed these drivers, and downloaded them to give them a benchmark. The drivers to beat were definately the most recent Cuneyt drivers, as they enabled nearly every option in 3dfx tools, so one might tweak their card into oblivion (and good framerates too).

Inno3d & eVGA have released their own brand of Detonator drivers.

Ok folks, it's Degger*s birthday today so this will be my last post for now. I've found some new beta drivers for you. The files are dated 16.01.2002 and the version are: Windows XP 6.13.10.6022 Windows 2000 5.13.10.6022 Did I mention these already have R300 support? No words on issues or performance yet. Maybe these are close to the WHQL release expected for release on February 15th.

Well Gainward have pulled theses drivers from their FTP server now! So you're out of luck but wait I had an email from an old mate: He tells me he has found Nvidia Detonator Driver 27.80 for Windows 98/Me/2K/XP on a manufacturers FTP server but they are password protected @ the moment. But he's working! LOL so stay tuned.

I surfed to the VIAArena to see what has changed and this is what they said: This patch, for all Microsoft Operating Systems, will increase the burst rate with the following RAID controller chips: Adapttech, Acard, Highpoint and Promise. This may not be noticeable in overall Hard Disk performance benchmarks as burst rate is not measured separately and only makes up a small percentage of Hard Disk performance. This patch can be used on all VIA chipsets. The driver in this zip file is the viapfd.sys version 1.05. This file was last updated on 7 February 2002. It appears that it will be Windows 9x/ME users that will get to play with the latest set of nVidia drivers first this time, as opposed to Win2k/XP users when previous 27.xx drivers have leaked.
I've been informed that 27.30 nVidia beta drivers have just appeared on-line for Windows 9x/ME only at this time. The driver is dated 19/01/2002 (19th January 2002), apart from the NVCPL.dll file in the set (the control pannel) - which comes from the 27.20 driver set. Grab the drivers over here.

Just got word from Mark @ Maxreboot that there are new ATI Radeon Drivers for the following ATI Radeon Cards 7200 / 7000 / VE / 7500 /8500 . The drivers origin is 3rd party manufacturer Sapphire.
