If you get the chip for the sole purpose of the HT feature --- you must use Windows XP. I have an Intel Chip with HT tech, but I'm on Win2k and refuse to go to Winxp. Its useless for me.

Hyperthreading - Makes one CPU look and act like 2...it's SMP for the person who doesn't want to spend the money for a dual CPU box. :P
