hey warp2search users post your Deskops.
1) Please keep Picture at 1024*800 resolution.
2) Also mention what Mods have you done (if any) like wallpapers , monitors, Visual themes , Winamp skins.
TIPS FOR POSTING SCREENSHOTS :-
1) You can take screenshot in windows by pressing PRINTSCREEN button on keyboard and then open PAINT-BRUSH or any other Image editing tool, now on a blank space in the editor PASTE the screenshot by pressing CONTROL+V. OR get a professinal software like SNAGIT for taking screenshot.
Most linux distros have a screen capture tool, use it for taking screenshot.
2) Always save the SCREENSHOT as JPG,PNG or GIF and not as BMP. BMP generate large size images.
3) If you do not own a place to upload Screenshots , Make account at www.Photobucket.com (free) or at www.Deviantart.com (free), upload it there and Link it here with code something like this in your post reply here.
For Example :-[img=http://img1.photobucket.com/albums/0903/kyroW2S/screenshots/desktop/98SE.png]
and the picture will look like the below image in this thread/forum.

BTW , the 1024*800 is for users only , MODERATORS/EDITORS/DEGGER do not have to follow that rule

This is my desktop - notice nothing ever running but my search for ALIENS - The Wallpaper was created by ME, MYSELF, and I, with 3D Studio Max 6 and other EFFECTS added with Photoshop CS such as LENS FLARE...

I'm not really the modding type - not too deep into changing Themes and the like...
YES: I did do the picture myself - just my imagination - actually it's just simple Spheres to create planets with the respected planets Material added and the background was a star field - then in Photoshop I added the things that look to be brighter stars with simple LENS FLARES - Some very bright and other less bright - the Red and White looking flares about 8 of them or so...
Thanks for the compliment - I have other things I've done on the computer here - http://home.comcast.net/~kmaximo/artwork.htm - plus if you go to the main page by removing the artwork.htm the picture on the main page was also done with 3D Studio but 3 instead of Max 6 a few years back of course.
I'm very SIMPLE - I never have anything running in background - except Windows Messenger and Setiathome - I create my own desktop wallpapers but other than that I don't tweak or mess with the things you guys have - Don't get me wrong some desktops here look awesome and I applaud all of these - Just the basics for me.

Well guys here comes my attempt at a nice desktop. I'm no where near as good as you people but I tried

WinXP Style - Its called BM I think. Brushed Metal. Go to ThemeXP and you should find it in there somewhere.
Winamp skin - Metaledge v2, search Winamp for it, skins tab.
Samurize config - Made it myself, but search around for icons, since I took out of very different packs, if you want the .png's I MAY be able to send you them, the rest can be made just with samurize really.
Wallpaper - From the Ace Combat 4 website, I love that game, and that wallpaper Yes I did remove the Ace combat 4 logo in the top left hand corner of the image, and that is because I like to have just the plain aircraft.
Anyway I like all of your desktops :)
