Why would u want to set it any higher anyway32mb/64 is the highest it need ever be set with the newer graphic cards. Ive allways set mine to 32mb. If u where thinking the higher the better go read up on all the bios tech sites as it doesent give you any gain unless u are using cad or similar. :D

He said GFX - not geforce fx, GFX - a GFX card is a graphics card. Don't ask me why they say gfx (grafix? )

Using 128MB is ok more could crash your apps as we seen in lot of reviews. +256 really NOT recommended
...more isnt faster in this case

I had same problem and I fixed it by reverting to Bios Version 1011, which will let you set the aperture up to 1gig. I've been reading sites for the past hour and the consensus on aperture size is to set it to 1/3 of your total system ram if your over 256mb or 1/2 if your less. I have 512 DDR 400mhz ram and I'm using 128mb aperture. Works fine. BTW, Unreal Tourney 2003 won't run with 8mb aperture which is what the Bios defaulted to when I updated to version 1012. Anyone with more info, please post.

Yeah 128MB is the way to go. You should be able to set it in steps like: 16/32/64/128/256MB...

Disclaimer: I'm a bios, graphics setting noob

When I read over the apeture size option for my bios, i figured it was saying to set it equal to what your graphics card's memory is. Since i have a 128 mb 9800 pro, i set it to 128. well i guess that isnt exactly how it works from reading the posts hehe. Someone want to just briefly describe what the apeture size does?

64 is recommended by FX manu's because 128MB is their minimum spec. It should be set at half of your physical memory, so if you have 512MB set it at 256MB if you have 256MB set it at 128MB. You can always tell anyways if u benchmark it, you might even want to set it at whats best for you via test results

In my experiences, and on all the articles I read on Graphics Cards, If you have a 128mb graphics card, set it to 128mb, 256mb-----256mb. And if you cant set it to what you have, set it to the closest. Just my experiences. Good luck on it. :D

Well even tho i have over 1Gb of mem i still set it to 128MB if i set it to 256 its a bit of a gamble with games because with some its a lot faster and with others its 2x slower. With 128MB i feel its the best overall

I had the same problem with my built by ATi 9600, but I took it back when I learned about the soft mod 9500-9700. From what I read now, the graphics apeture size does very little anymore, especially that most
video cards have 64 or 128 MB of ram onboard. I have tried testing and notice no noticeable difference. Hope this helps.
