The patch was entitled: Programs Run Slower After You Install Windows XP SP-1. HT4U has reviewed several nForce2 mainboards in their comprehensive nForce round up. During their benchmarking sessions which included HDTach, a popular IDE performance test, they observed CPU utilization up to almost 60% under Windows XP with nForce IDE drivers. Windows XP standard drivers still showed CPU utilization in the mid 30% range.
