Futuremark is going to present a new version of the benchmark tool PCMark, which analyzes your system components today. PCMark04 is a benchmark program for all kinds of PC's and laptops ranging from office computers to high end gaming machines. The software tests audio and video applications as well as the encoding speed under DivX or coding of CD music into Ogg Vorbis files. In the standard version the benchmark runs ten different tests, which is to supply a meaningful numerical value at the end. Seven of these tests run as single tests, whereas the other three simulate parallel running applications. We have posted a small online screenshot gallery for you to check out.
