Facebook Picture Of Toy Mortar Leads To Armed Police Raid

You were always told to be careful what you put on the internet: here's why.

Check out this incredibly life-like Facebook photo of Ian Driscoll, his German Shepard, and his mortar. It looks legit, right?

Well, the guy in the picture is actually [s]Action Guy[/s] Action Man (the British Version of G.I. Joe), and the dog isn's real either. Neither is the toy mortar. Surprise! (Notice the rather large TV remote in the corner?)

"The Action Man looked a bit like me, so I decided to put it as my Facebook picture. I didn't even notice the mortar in the background," 43-year-old Driscoll, a resident of Gloucestershire, England, explained to the Daily Mail.

But try telling that to five carloads of armed cops who stormed into Driscoll's house in search of that illegal mortar. To their surprise they did not find it. Maybe because it was a toy. The police eventually saw the humor in the whole and told Driscoll he was lucky he was home, or else they would have broken the door down.

Driscoll is quite amused by the whole thing, "It's tiny and quite clearly a toy. I can't stop laughing. I think it's hilarious," Driscoll told the Mail. The picture remains on his Facebook today.

Here's a scale version of what caused the ruckus.
