The Firmware Forum have obtained a new firmware update for owners of the NEC ND-1100A DVD+R/RW writer. Version 1.A1 should only be used on drives that have the 1.A0 firmware and finally there's a guide here on how to turn the ND-1000A [2x] into the ND-1100A [4x].
