Flyoobe (Flyby11) 1.3 released

Published by

Belim has officially launched Flyoobe 1.3, an update to the Flyby11 project that introduces a variety of enhancements aimed at improving user experience. The most notable feature is the new Out-Of-Box Experience (OOBE) view, which allows users to select a default browser immediately after installation and offers the option to download third-party browsers. Additionally, the personalization options have been expanded to enable users to choose the alignment of the Windows 11 taskbar, whether left or center.

The update also includes an optimized setup and finalization extension view, providing a more streamlined process for users. The header design has been refined for clarity, indicating which OOBE view is currently active. Improvements to DPI handling and overall user interface (UI) enhancements contribute to a more polished experience, along with various minor bug fixes.

Looking ahead, Belim has announced plans to merge the Flyby11 and Flyoobe projects into a single cohesive project in a future release. This integration will include further code cleanups and improvements. The full source code for Flyoobe will be made available once the merging process is complete, as the current state is deemed too messy for public release.

Overall, Flyoobe 1.3 marks a significant step forward in enhancing the setup experience for Windows users, with future updates promising even more streamlined functionality and improved performance
