ASUS PcProbe is a hardware-monitoring tool for ASUS boards. This version fixes problems with the ALi MAGiK 1 Mainboard A7A266. You can grab the tool over here

Guru3D have released a new version of their GeForce Tweak Utility. Now it's up to version 3.1 RC1.

Here' what's new:

This new revision has updates that pass the size of an A4 letter, so way too much to handle them all. Most importantly, GTU now is compatible with DetonatorXP drivers and WindowsXP.

AC has updated NvMax again to version 3.00.62 Beta! Here's what's new:

Mostly interface fixes in this release, including section titles, tab delay fixed, W9x file not found message fixed, preset's not displaying fixed, database applying fixed. Other various stuff fixed also.

SpeedFan is a freeware program that monitors fan speeds and temperatures in computers with a known monitoring chip. Its main feature is that it can control the speed of the fans according to the temperatures inside your pc, thus reducing noise and power consumption. Currently the only recognized (and useful) chips are WINBOND W83782D, which is found in ABIT BP6, and WINBOND W83627HF. If you've got any other motherboard with the same chip, this program is for you.

Well the new detection introduced in .49 has been bringing plenty of problems but like usual time is the only essence to making sure the program is most compatible. In fact believe it or not over a 1/3 of the code is pure compatibility between the different operating systems and driver versions.

This one looks sturdy. If you are using 21.81 drivers and overclocking does not work in the NVIDIA control panel there is nothing I can do (NVmax uses NVIDIA system). I think I'll have a little break now ;) NVmax Beta 3.00.56 and now also in our updated archive: local download.

Although AC started university he's still going strong with NvMax. He just released a quick fix version 3.00.55. Here's what's new: .55 fixes GeForce2mx & WinXP/2000 overclocking / color control problems. Note: According to the forums, some problems still persist with Det's 21.81! AC's been busy again and this time it is a major update requiring users to reinstall NvMax! New: Fixed complete program failure on Windows 9.x/ME based systems (complete function failure).
Fixed problem whereby no settings would save on Windows 2000/XP. This bug would not effect Color Control or Overclocking.
Fixed problem whereby OpenGL FSAA would not report a value.
NvMax now works driver independent. If registry settings change in new drivers NvMax will still work! Download Now!

What is NVTurbo?
Nothing special if you normally use PowerStrip, but power users who like their "tweakers" lean and mean may find this little 120k program of interest. It is specifically written to handle multiple GeForce cards under XP, using the Detonator IV drivers, but should work with most older NVidia cards and drivers as well. Grab it from MaxReboot here.
