Enermax Seahawk Case Review

Published by Newsfactory 0

OCIA.net checks out the Enermax Seahawk Case in their latest review. Below is a direct quote from the review:

The window is not cut exactly rectangular. It has small tabs that stick out of its edges that secure it by snapping into metal slots on the panel. This design causes the fit to not be 100% snug. I noticed when removing and attaching the panel that the window rattled a little bit, but I wasn't worried about it falling out or anything like that.

The card was compared in this review to ATI's 9600 and 9600 Pro as well as nVidia's GeforceFX 5600 and 5700 under 3DMark, Aquamark, Splinter Cell, Tomb Raider, Quake III and Call of Duty and the Volari card fared rather well.

AMD's Sempron 2800+ and 3100+ processors @ TechReport

Published by Newsfactory 0

Value processors are all about artful foot-dragging. They are somewhat slower versions of the familiar Athlons and Pentiums, reworked and re-branded to sell at lower prices in cheaper PCs. At the high end of the market, we get to witness an epic struggle between AMD and Intel's best processors for all-out supremacy, but in the value realm, we witness something rather different. The point isn't to beat the other guy's product at any cost; it's a high-wire act in which the performers must balance beating the other guy's performance against the possibility of cannibalizing sales of one's own more expensive products.

AMD Sempron: A Fresh Take on Budget Computing

Published by Newsfactory 0

AnandTech have thrown up their review of AMD's Sempron Processor! Here's a snip.

If the familiar rectangular shape of the core looks a little too familiar, that's probably for very good reason. The K7 Sempron is actually a 166MHz FSB 256KB Thoroughbred-B core. Upon first learning this, we were a little worried that we would see overlapping parts where new Semprons would actually be old Athlon XPs. Fortunately, this is not the case.

Silverstone SST-LC02 Case Review

Published by Newsfactory 0

Silverstone entered the case market with only a few products last year. Since last year, Silverstone has increased their product line significantly and what's even more important to us, as consumers, is that Silverstone listens to what consumers want and work accordingly on their next product revisions. If you recall, we analyzed Silverstone's SST-LC01 case last year, which was impressive, but it lacked the physical impressiveness that one would want in a HTPC case.
