Their goal for IE7 is to dramatically improve the printing experience by giving the end-user much more control for printing webpages. This update adds support for the End User Recovery feature in the Data Protection Manager. After installation, the updated Timewarp client will be able to recover data from a Data Protection Manager server, if present. After you install this update, you may have to restart your computer.

Microsoft has made available to beta testers and MSDN subscribers a stand alone Internet Explorer 7 Beta 1. According to some Flexbeta members who have fiddled with the browser, IE7 Beta is riddled; many websites will not load probably while other members are reporting not being able to install the browser.

My unhappy reaction to the Windows Hardware Engineering (WinHEC) 2005 build of Longhorn is now, shall we say, infamous. I wasn't trying to make a statement per se. But I did refer to the next major version of Windows as a "train wreck," so I guess it makes sense that people would latch onto that statement.

Rumors have it that the Windows Vista Beta 1 build will be released to testers tomorrow, according to Winbeta. However, Microsoft made it clear on the official website of Windows Vista that Windows Vista Beta 1 will be in the hands of the developers and IT Professionals by August 3rd, 2005 (This seems to be a MSDN release date).

The Education pack includes several ?nifty? programs which help students get organzied, take down notes, review their notes and at the same time have fun too. Indigo and Avalon are the codenames for two strategic developer technologies that Microsoft plans to ship in 2006 as part of the Windows "Longhorn" operating system. In addition, Microsoft is making these technologies available on Windows XP and Windows Server 2003.
