Antec Performance Plus 1080 AMG Case Review @ Tweaknews.net

Published by Newsfactory 0

It looks sleek. Has just the right colour. Is roomy. Keeps cool. Is silent. I will show that the case can do all of that and much more. How's that for an introduction? Sounds like a sales pitch but kinda is. When I first spoke to Antec about doing a review on this case I pointed out that a lot of people said I coudn't keep my SCSI drives cool and that no case was able fit all of my junk. I disagreed and so did Antec Inc.

Have You seen My Intel 3.06GHz P4

Published by Newsfactory 0

We can't substantiate those rumours at press time. But one reader said that he saw a 3.06GHz P4 for sale late Friday and rang the firm.

An Australian web site is apparently selling a 3GHz (3.06) Pentium 4, as you can see here, for AUS$1466 (~US$796) That, however, would mean that Intel has also brought forward the launch of chipsets that will support hyperthreading.

Abit IT7-MAX2 and Media XP Review

Published by Newsfactory 0

TNR has just put up a review on Abit?s IT7-MAX2 and Media XP. I believe we are the first site to review the Media XP and only one of several who have reviewed the IT7-MAX2. Here?s a snippet:

?I have owned an IT7-MAX for many months now. I?ve gotta say this has been one of the best boards I have ever owned. So when I got the new IT7-MAX2 I was somewhat hesitant to take out my MAX and put in the new board for fear that I would never again have the harmony with the universe I had enjoyed. Well, this soon passed and as you?ll see so did the MAX2"

My 1800+ TBRED Results

Published by Newsfactory 0

Just spotted this @3dxtreme.org!

With all this talk on 3dXtreme about switching to Intel, I decided it was time to bring some AMD Excitement back in, and was able to get my hands on this 1800+ TBRED. These are TECHNICIALLY Mobile TBREDS used for Notebooks, but there really is no difference between the desktop and notebook version. Also the CPU came FACTORY UNLOCKED! Anyway, here are my results so far, and I want to emphasize, that this CPU was overclocked on air, with a Thermalright SLK-800 and a Mechatronics 80MM 53CFM Fan. I didn't need one of those damn loud Vantec Tornado's. Anyway, here are my results! I hit 195FSB as you can see.

Triplex TX-680 GeForce4 MX440-8X Review

Published by Newsfactory 0

VR-Zone has done up a review on the Triplex NV18 card which is no doubt one of the nicest card around. Triplex has gone one step further to set the core and memory clock higher than official speed recommended by NVIDIA. The usage of the faster 2.8ns DDR SDRAM on budget card like the NV18 is definitely interesting. From the default core and memory speed at 300/600Mhz, i am able to overclock the card to 390/740Mhz!

Xoxide Acrylic PC Case

Published by Newsfactory 0

TheTech Zone.com have posted a review of Xoxide's very cool looking acrylic PC case.

This case looks totally awesome, especially with lighted fans. I was very impressed with the five blowholes and great cooling performance. Putting the case together is not very hard at all. It only took me about an hour or so. I wish that the manual had been more detailed. I think that this case will be great for overclockers and gamers. Overall, I am very happy with this Acrylic PC tower.
