Over two years ago, I wrote an article called "The End of the Era of Speed." That article talked about CPUs, though we did note later on that it was a matter of time before the GPUs caught up.

In our extended tests with some of the 965p boards, we noticed that CrossFire can't be enabled properly. It pops up an error message when enablling CrossFire option. An error msg "CrossFire cannot be enabled because some 3D applications are running or the interconnect cable is not connected to the motherboard has not communication channels between PCI-E express slots." will pop out. Crossfire can't be enabled.

AMD revealed a few more details about its plans for its upcoming enthusiast-oriented platform, code-named 4x4.
