DreamCatcher has issued the first patch for Painkiller, the new first-person shooter created by People Can Fly. This is a CD fix, addressing a problem on some systems and CD-ROM drives in launching the game that resulted in an application error or a idly spinning CD.

Silicon Ice Development has released a new version of Urban Terror, bringing this Mod for Quake 3 Arena to v3.4. This release fixes several textures, map issues, bugs, and more.

Flexbeta.net takes a close look at Doom 3 Beta 2 with tons of screenshots. The new Doom 3 engine feels strong and robust, not like the old Quake engine. The details to the graphics are amazing, however the article does note that there are as many monsters as there are bugs, noting for example corridors that lead no where.
