Electronic Arts has now released the playable demo for Battlefield 1942: Secret Weapons of WWII, allowing you to try out this upcoming expansion pack for the 3D multiplayer action game by Digital Illusions. This demo contains the Hellendoorn map, location of a rocket launch site that was one of the most successful sites and is credited with the successful destruction of the Remagen Bridge, the last left standing over the Rhine. Also included are a selection of new weapons and vehicles from the add-on.

Just got word that Gamers Hell have snagged the demo of Conflict Desert Storm 2!

SCi has released a playable demo of Conflict Desert Storm 2, allowing you to try out this upcoming third-person squad-based action sequel in the works at Pivotal Games, but there are no details about the content of this demo.

Activision and id Software have released the final map for Return to Castle Wolfenstein: Tides of War, available via download through Xbox Live, the new level, titled Chateau! The map can be played in the game's Stopwatch and Elimination multiplayer modes! Allied players must infiltrate a German occupied Chateau being used as a Nazi base of operations, locate secret documents, and transmit them back to U.S. headquarters while in the midst of combat.

A chatlog on qith Valve Software at ModDataBase.com reveals word by Valve's Gary McTaggart: "Anti-aliasing has been fixed for all cards." This is actually good news after the recent discussion if and under which circumstances HL2 would be able to run with Anti Aliasing enabled. Further of note is that Valve will be delivering a detailed benchmark before the game ships, where you can run a particular card through any of the DirectX levels where appropriate..

JoWood Productions have released the English playable demo of AquaNox 2: Revelation, offering a new chance to try out this submersed 3D action game by Massive Development. Thanks to Brewskie over at Half Life News , Techseekers.net got a chance to talk to Valve about certain aspects of their upcoming game: Half Life 2. In short, release dates were not discussed, but they did discuss that AA problems were solved, and there will be a benchmark system released before the game ships. They also talked about a comprehensive demo playback control and camera movement in recorded demos.

3D Realms have posted the news that the September 2003 issue of Computer Gaming World Magazine has the scoop on Max Payne 2: The Fall of Max Payne.

The demo also unleashes the power of ten of the 16 new weapons in Secret Weapons of WWII. Fly and fight at the same time with the experimental German rocket pack, or buzz the skies in one of the new compact dynamo fighter planes?the Axis Natter rocket plane or the Allied F-85 Goblin. Both the Axis and Allies also have new motorcycles with machine gun-mounted sidecars, as well as amphibious assault vehicles: the German Schwimmwagen and the American LVT-2 Water Buffalo. The new Axis Flakpanzer, a T-38 tank with an anti-aircraft gun mounted on top, is a nasty beast?but it looks tame compared to the Allies? Sherman tank with a T-34 Calliope rocket launcher.

Just saw this at GamersHell. UBI Soft released screenshots of Splinter Cell Pandora Tommorow. By looking the shots it looks like UBISoft has carried on where it left the game, the enviornment looks more vibrant and the detailing more real. A german gaming print magazine Gamestar.de reports that ATI plans to bundle the upcoming Valve Software first person shooter Half-Life 2 with its new Radeon 9900.
This speaks against the release speculation, because the offical GOLD release is set to be the 13th of September.

There's a new demo of TRON 2.0, updating this playable 3D cyberspace action game by Monolith Productions to the final code. This demo contains light cycle and disc combat tutorials, a full mission from the single-player campaign, a single-player light cycle map called "Newbie Authentication," and improved multiplayer code that you can try out on the "Old System" light cycle and "Battle Rings" disc arena maps.
