Valve sends word that their plan is to begin the 2.0 beta test of their Steam broadband content delivery system this Thursday, January 16. Included in the beta will be the release of Counter-Strike version 1.6, "which introduces new weapons (riot shield, FAMAS, and more) a new map (de_airstrip), as well as various fixes and tweaks." just wanted to drop you guys a note on the planned update (fixes for exploits) and thereby opening an option for other fixes as well that we have for you. Although Unreal Championship can be patched to fix exploits, this is not by all means an easy task. I will not go into detail here other then saying that it is not the same situation like updates for PC based games. I will also go on and say that we do listen to our public and are in fact working hard to make sure that you have an awesome time playing our games.

So, I will have you know that there is some substantial work put into the upcoming patch that will fix some exploits that people have listed on this board. Some things were known (stats for instance) and some things just came up through the woodwork.

Not wanting to mess with a good thing, developer and publisher of Battlefield 1942, have opted to give the fans what they want -- new maps, new vehicles, and ongoing technical improvements and bugfixes. We made a trip up to EA's offices to get in some quality playtime with the expansion, and from the looks of things, Battlefield fans (like us) are in for a lot more online fun.

Shacknews reported: "Although the official website and PR's we've gotten have been shooting for January 14th, a number of reports have come in that SimCity4 is indeed available on a few different shelves around the US right now. To be specific, we've gotten 3 different EB reports in central and west coast, and a couple guys on the east coast saying the pre-orders have come in for the special edition."

Zur Zeit gibt es zwar noch keine Moeglichkeiten, Spielstaende zu speichen, Sound zu hoeren, oder Multiplayer Gefechte auszutragen, dies soll jedoch in kommenden Veroeffentlichungen nachgeholt werden. Das Beste: der GoBoy ist kostenlos!
