One of Germany's biggest gaming magazines reports that Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell 3D stealth shooter has been delayed by publisher Ubisoft. PCGames claims to have received the information directly from Ubisoft. Reasons are further engine polishing for lower end graphic cards like GeForce2 series. Ubisoft said they plan to deliver the best graphical excellence Splinter Cell can provide for all systems and users. The new release date at least in Germany is scheduled for February 27th.

Gamespy has posted a fresh preview of what's to come from Gray Matter Studios and Activision this year. Enemy Territory is a SP/MP expansion pack for last years 'Return to Castle Wolfenstein'. Here's a byte: At last year's E3, it was "just" an expansion pack with a small single-player campaign, new multiplayer maps, and bot support. By QuakeCon 2002, it had evolved into a standalone pack, the main addition being linked multiplayer campaigns, with weapons and stats carrying over from one map to the next. We recently had a chance to spend considerable hands-on time with the latest version of Enemy Territory. Sure enough, the game has expanded once again, with more than enough content to justify calling it a fully-blown game in its own right. 3Dgamers.com reports that Ubi Soft Montreal and Red Storm Entertainment have released an updated multiplayer demo of Rainbow Six: Raven Shield, bringing this upcoming squad-based tactical shooter to version 1.1.

This release adds a new map called "Import/Export Company" that's set in Porto Alegre, Brazil, and a new Escort the Pilot gameplay mode, as well as anti-cheating measures, gameplay tweaks, bug fixes and more, and along with the full demo there are patches to upgrade the original English and German demos

I've decided to show you guys how it looks at it's best on my system: 1280x1024 resolution, 6X Anti Aliasing and 16x Anisotropic Filtering. And every detail in the game itself set as high. For those who are still uncertain about buying this game, all I can say is: Do it!! I never experienced a game that looked this good and played so flexible. With the use of high-res textures and pixel shaders, ice really does look like ice and tarmac really does look like tarmac. Reflections on the car are simply stunning. Allright, before I spoil everything, have a look at a total of 256 screenshots!

Raven Software has now released the Gold patch for SoFII which updates the game to v1.03. While adding some new multiplayer maps (Kamchatka mp_kam5, Jordan mp_jor1 and Shop mp_shop2) there are some game fixes and new shell art as well.
