Rockstar Games has issued the first patches for Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, upgrading the US, European/Australian and German editions of their free-form third-person action sequel to version 1.01. This promised "No More Hot Coffee" release neutralizes the infamous "Hot Coffee" modification, and also adds support for 720p and 1080i HDTV resolutions along with fixing a few crashes, gameplay issues and a couple of other bugs.

Electronic Arts has now released the MOD Tool Kit for Battlefield 2, allowing prospective mod authors to create and modify content for Digital Illusions' popular multiplayer shooter. Details on the contents of this beta editor distribution are however not available, except that the single-player editor is not yet included.
FEAR Single-Player Demo
The promised playable demo for F.E.A.R. is now online, offering the first opportunity to try out the spooky supernatural first-person shooter that's in the works at Monolith Productions. This is a single-player demo that contains an extensive cinematic introduction along with a sizable early mission from the full game, but note that you must be 17 years or older to download and play this demo.

Microsoft has released the promised playable demo for Dungeon Siege II, offering the first opportunity to try out the imminent 3D role-playing sequel by Gas Powered Games.
