Free Monkey Interactive has released the new Beta 2 of UT: XMP. This game is based on the mutliplayer part from Unreal 2 (U2XMP) and needs Unreal Tournament 2004. The download is available as patch (86 MB) and full version (278 MB).

Since its launch, we've tried to give Battlefield 2 all the support it deserves by releasing patches with the fixes and improvements you've asked for. Unfortunately, we haven't lived up to the standards we've set for ourselves. So all of us at EA and DICE are working extra hard to make sure that your Battlefield 2 experience improves dramatically in the coming weeks. Towards the end of August, we will be releasing a new patch called 1.03.

It only takes a moment to download the file, but it is required for continued play on Xbox Live. The hotfix for Battlefield 2 v1.01 is now available for download. This update replaces v1.01 and fixes the said memory leak. Along with this update, we?ve made available an updated unranked server file for Win32 and an updated unranked server file for Linux.

First off, a HUGE thanks to all of you who emailed me in regards to the memory leak found in the update we released earlier this week (v1.01). Your emails found their way to our production team and they?re in the process of evaluating what needs to be done in order to get this fixed. In the meantime, and since the 1.01 update is causing memory leakage on some systems, we recommend that you reinstall the game and NOT the v1.01 update we released earlier this week.

Electronic Arts has now released the first retail patch for Battlefield 2, upgrading the 3D multiplayer action sequel by Digital Illusions to version 1.01. This update fixes two crash bugs as well as problems with controls binding, the multiplayer browser, shaders and environment mapping, bot AI, and more.
