Midway has released a single-player demo for Area 51, offering the first opportunity to determine whether "the truth is out there" in this sci-fi first-person shooter that has a lead character voiced by David Duchovny. id Software has released new patches for DOOM 3, bringing the Win32 edition of their horror first-person shooter sequel to version 1.3 and the Linux client/server update to version 1.3.1302. This release synchronizes the codebase with the Resurrection of Evil expansion, adds Punkbuster support and sound enhancements, improves .pk4 support, addresses multiplayer issues, and more.
