and bundled it to one big roundup. For this comparsion we used the brand new Beta 76.41 and compared it with the 76.10, 71.24, 1.50 and the 71.84. Our reference driver was the DNA 1.0.71.24, because it was the driver with the best results.

This combination driver was first published on 24 June 2002. Prior to 24 June 2002, there was driver 74mu170a for VT8233/VT8233A/VT8233C and driver 68MU220b for VT686A, 686B & VT8321. The "combo" driver combined those two drivers into the one package and added support for the (at the time) new VT8235 southbridge. Further improvements have been made in subsequent releases, including adding support for more codecs and the driver package is now called Vinyl_AudioCodec.
