Last week saw the latest of ATI's monthly driver releases, and the second release of the year, in the form of Catalyst 5.2. As always, the release notes of this new driver boasts both new additions to the functionality of Catalyst Control Center as well as a number of performance improvements. Today we'll be taking a look at this driver to see how it measures up against ATI's claims.

ForSage v5.2 (2000/XP)

This release note provides information on ATI's beta 4 driver for the Microsoft Windows XP 64 bit operating system, running on AMD64 systems. This beta driver is supported on the following ATI RADEON? products.

ATi releases almost every month a new version of their Catalyst drivers. Often they fix bugs and improve the compability and sometimes they also increase the performance in different applications. In this comparison we don't want to test the improvements in games or bug fixes, but the increases in speed with the newer versions.

Today ATI released Catalyst 5.2 for your download pleasure.

New DNA Drivers have been released, these are modified/tweaked NVIDIA ForceWare Drivers. This version is based on the NVIDIA Forceware 71.80 Drivers. These drivers are designed for better performance and image quality. DNA-Force v1.1.7180 (2000/XP)

This driver supports Windows 2000, Windows XP and Windows Server 2003 only. Legacy Microsoft Operating systems are not supported. This driver will increase performance of ATA hard drives and ATAPI devices (such as CD/DVD/combo drives etc). The driver may be used with any VIA chipset. Further information is contained in a detailed Readme file available from the driver download page. The driver is currently only available in an individual package. It will however, be included in a future release of the VIA Hyperion 4in1 driver package. No system requires the driver to operate - it's an optional extra!

An updated driver for Windows operating systems that supports the V-RAID Advanced Controller Suite featured in the VT6410, VT6420/6421 controllers and the VT8237 South Bridge chip has just been made available.

This software pack is a crack/mod based on the original CD of Creative Audigy 2 ZS Notebook & Audigy4 Pro. Please read the following carefully.
