AMD-Insight.de have thrown up their Catalyst 4.4 Driver Comparison! They tested Catalyst 3.0 to 4.3 against the newly released Catalyst 4.4 using the following benchmarks 3D Mark 2003, Aquamark 3.0 , Call of Duty, Serious Sam 2, Return to Castle Wolfenstein and Comanche 4.

Nvidia released seperate ide and audio drivers instead of providing a unified package. Plus they provided a sleek new installer that lets you select which drivers you want to install. This package also includes the better network drivers then the official. Newer Gart drivers then in the official UDP and newer SMBus drivers that have been obtained from leaked packages.

TechConnect reports that we just got some information about a new Forceware driver 60.30 for Win2000/XP. This one has been built for PCI Express, but is backwards compatible for all other cards. This driver should also include some performance enhancements and minor fixes. We still havent got our hands on the driver, but maybe soon....

Creative has also released an update for Audigy1 series cards, but it is only downloadable through autoupdate. Here is the name autoupdate uses "AUD_WEBUP_PCWDRV_1-84-40.exe" this file is 6.44MB file date same as Audigy2.
